Corselettes, Girdles, Suspender Belts, Stockings and Bullet Bras
Retro Range
|
In this modern day world stretch fabrics are the norm and they are frequently used to give 'you' the buyer a better fitting more comfortable retro lingerie experience.
Unlike the pin up era of the 40’s and 50’s where underwear seemed to be made of the strongest material known to man and the terms "control and foundation wear" literally did mean exactly that.
Many different types of fabric are used, some rigid and some with stretch, all giving a variety of different movement and control. Some materials are lightweight and some a little heavier, but we can assure you not as heavy as the good old days!
Below is a guide to sizing , but you have to remember that our vintage lingerie ranges are designed upon and inspired by the garments worn by ladies of the 1940’s and 1950’s, who loved to dress like ladies and nearly always wore dresses or skirts to show off their figures.
The suspender belts and pull on girdles are designed to be worn on the waist and higher still, this all helps your stockings to be suspended in the correct way and of course the most comfortable for you 'the wearer'.

Bullet Bra Sizing
All of our bra ranges are made from original patterns from the 1950’s and known as bullet bras.
They are designed to make your assets look amazing when worn under a blouse or knitwear, but be warned they do not fit like a modern day conventional bra and will take some getting used to.
The size range for these retro bras starts at 34C and ends at 40D.
