Corset Information
At Curious-Curves.com we supply genuine hand-made corsets. Professionally trained corsetieres make a corset for YOU - your shape, your chosen design - and one which fits your body (apart from the occasional basque-type corsets which are not intended for tight-lacing or extreme wear - in these cases this information will be clearly defined on the given page). Each corset is made using traditional methods: panels of high quality fabric of your choice, cotton lining for comfort and boning of internal steel spirals help you to achieve that great hourglass shape. The laced back is comprised of durable, thick lacing cords and reinforced eyelets.
Enhancing your figure with a corset achieves a waist reduction of 2"-4", naturally pushes up the bust as the corset is tightened, and pulls in the hips. Altogether the effect of a slimmer-looking body and great curves gives the wearer a wonderful sensual feeling. It is up to you whether you show off these new curves by wearing your corset as an outer garment, or make it your special secret for others to wonder how you got your new great shape!
With the proper care your corset will provide plenty of durable wear, giving enjoyment, sensuality, and functionality.
It is important not to mistake our corsets with the many low quality, mass produced ‘corsets’ on the market today, which are usually laced-back bustiers. Many of these are made from low-cost, thin materials, with insufficient or plastic boning and high turn-out factory stitching which is prone to being of a poor quality. These alternatives give little or no support to the wearer and the experience compared to a traditionally made corset is entirely inferior. It is often said that you ‘get what you pay for’ - and we're sure you will agree this applies to corsets we offer at Curious-Curves.com.
Lacing your Corset
Your newly made corset will arrive with full instructions showing you how to lace up your corset. Please follow the guidelines given for best results. You will have one lace which will be sufficient, so please do not cut it before you lace it up.
Putting Your Corset on..
1. Lace your corset.
2. Step into your corset (ensuring you have left the lace slack at the back to tighten later).
3. Wrap the corset around your middle and fasten the front busk.
4. Begin tightening the lace in a methodical manner.
5. Ensure the lace is pulled as tight as you feel comfortable with.
To take the corset off, just reverse the instructions given above. Please take care to use this method and not to overtighten the lace as this could cause damage to the corset structure.
